Globalizing South Korean Creativity: Theorizing, Exhibiting and Archiving Hallyu, the Korean Wave

This conference will establish an interdisciplinary network of UK and South Korean scholars and researchers from across academic disciplines and specialities to examine the recent fast growth of Hallyu, or the Korean Wave, and its associated contexts and influences. It will focus on how Hallyu from South Korea is becoming a global mainstream culture, how it is getting institutional recognition, and how it is selected to be a canonic form of Korean culture.
