Specifically, the book explores what it means for K-pop to emulate the vocals and instrumentation of the R&B tradition and enhance it with Korean musical strategies. Viewing K-pop in this way impacts how we think about popular music, audience and globalization. It encourages us to view K-pop as a diverse style of music with a history that ties in with other music traditions. It reveals a role for audience as a music press that shapes the way we talk about music.\u00a0 It expands how we talk about Western and Eastern culture to looking at the specific influence of distinct, ethnic culture.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
