Specifically, the book explores what it means for K-pop to emulate the vocals and instrumentation of the R&amp;B tradition and enhance it with Korean musical strategies. Viewing K-pop in this way impacts how we think about popular music, audience and globalization. It encourages us to view K-pop as a diverse style of music with a history that ties in with other music traditions.
